'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
